Dental implants are stronger than any healthy tooth. That means they can handle more pressure and support larger designs of restorations. And when our Minden, NE implant dentists places them at strategic points in your mouth, we can use as few as four in total to anchor a full-arch hybrid appliance. We call this extended bridge or denture an “All-on-4” appliance.
What Do All on 4® Dental Implants Look Like?
Instead of wearing a full denture that rests against your gums or snaps over dental implants, an All-on-4® looks more like a curved, “U”-shaped restoration that follows the natural contour of your smile. There’s no bulky plate to cover the roof of your mouth.
The All-on-4® is designed for maximum aesthetics. You can specify what color, shape, and size you want your new teeth to look like. Along the teeth is pink porcelain or acrylic that’s shaded and shaped to mimic healthy gum tissues. That way when you smile, you’ll be able to show off a set of straight, white teeth.
And even though the All-on-4® is replacing all of your teeth (in that arch) at once, it’s only secured on top of four implants in total. Again, since implants are so strong, they’re capable of safely securing a multi-tooth restoration.
Option 1
Removable
An implant-retained denture involves two or more implants along with a removable appliance.
Option 2
Removable
A full set of dentures snaps into these anchor points, giving your teeth a more natural function; since they shift less than traditional dentures.
Option 3
Non-Removable
The complete set of dentures is affixed to these anchors with screws, meaning they are exceptionally secure - they also will not be removed for daily cleaning.
Evaluation and Consult — During your initial examination, Minden Dental Clinic will evaluate your oral health, underlying risk factors and determine which types of treatment (or combination of therapies) can address the issues at hand. Reconstruction can also enhance the appearance of your smile, so aesthetic characteristics will be considered just as much as functional needs.
Case Planning — At this point, we’ll present all of the viable options to you. Your treatment plan will outline the different restorative options you have to choose from, the number of appointments involved, and even the costs associated with your therapy. Our treatment coordinators can also provide an estimate on your applicable insurance coverage and review flexible financing options.
Treatment — Once you’ve decided on which treatment is best for your full mouth restoration needs, we’ll schedule the appointment(s) to complete those services. Our Minden dentist office also provides in-house sedation if you’re looking for the most comfortable experience possible!
Full mouth restoration is unique, in that we restore multiple teeth at one time to rehabilitate your entire bite. That way everything is streamlined to fit and function together properly. A comprehensive approach (as opposed to tooth-by-tooth reconstruction) will give you the best outcome, both functionally and aesthetically!
